Job summary

E-ACT The Grange School in Daventry invites applications for an enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in a nurturing, inclusive setting. You will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement tailored support and enable pupils to thrive academically and socially.

The role involves delivering targeted interventions, supporting behaviour and independence, and adapting activities to meet diverse needs. 37 hours/week, 39 weeks/year, permanent contract.

Qualifications

  • GCSE Maths and English (C/4) or equivalent.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with SEND.
  • Excellent communication skills to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents and professionals.
  • Ability to adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual pupil needs.
  • Strong behaviour management to support positive learning behaviours.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to SEND pupils to access learning and achieve potential.
  • Collaborate with class teachers, SENCO and other professionals to implement IEPs, EHCP targets and personalised strategies.
  • Deliver targeted interventions and structured activities for individuals and groups.
  • Support pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development, promoting confidence and independence.
  • Adapt resources and activities to meet diverse pupil needs and remove learning barriers.
