Job summary

Envision Education is seeking a caring SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in St Albans. You will support pupils with additional learning needs, helping them feel confident, engaged and successful in the classroom.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30-3:30, starting in September. DBS update service preferred; right to work in the UK required. Desirable qualifications include Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or a Bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• At least 3 months' experience working with children or young people with SEND.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Valid right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in the classroom and during activities.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support where needed.
• Help pupils build confidence, communication, and independence.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement.
• Adapt support to suit individual learning needs.
• Work closely with teachers and the wider school team.
