Job summary

Envision Education is supporting a specialist school in Welwyn Garden City in their search for a committed SEND Teaching Assistant. The role involves supporting learning across classes, working with teachers and other staff to foster a positive environment and help pupils progress.

You will work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, monitor progress, and provide feedback. A DBS on update service is preferred or willingness to obtain one, and the role requires the ability to commute

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a school or supporting children with SEND (reference required).
• An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
• The ability to commute to Welwyn Garden City or live locally.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, 1:1 and small group support as a Teaching Assistant.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment.
• Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons.
• Observe and monitor pupils' progress and share feedback with teachers.
• Encourage pupils in their learning and support them in completing classroom activities.
