Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking a School Support Worker for a SEND school in Wirral, Merseyside. The role involves supporting pupils aged 2-11 with complex SEND needs, with experience in residential homes, hospitals, or as a personal assistant valued.

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to provide personal care when needed. The position starts 3rd September 2026 and runs 8:30am–3:30pm on a temp-to-perm basis.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting children or adults as a Support Worker.
• Passion for helping children develop and succeed.
• Good understanding of Special Needs and child-centered approach.
• Willing to provide personal care.
• Able to work as a team with other staff to create a calm learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist pupils aged 2-11 with complex SEND in daily activities.
• Provide personal care when required.
• Support classroom learning and behaviour management.
• Participate in safeguarding and DBS background checks as required.
