Job summary

Connex Education is partnering with a SEND school in Llanelli to recruit dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistants. While direct experience in special educational needs is not essential, a strong understanding of learners with ALN and SEMH challenges is highly advantageous.

You will support pupils across all Key Stages, encourage engagement in hands-on activities, and contribute to a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• ALN and SEMH understanding is advantageous.
• DBS check or willingness to obtain one is required.
• EWC registration is preferred.

About the role

Connex Education is partnering with SEND school in Llanelli to recruit dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistants. While direct experience in special educational needs is not essential, a strong understanding of learners with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and/or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges is highly advantageous. This position is ideal for individuals with a background in mainstream education or those who have experience in care or support roles. This role is to start asap if you have the correct documentation.

Person specification

• Aged 19 and over
• C or above in Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
• Care / Support Worker Background
• DBS for Child and Adult on the Update Service or willing to obtain one
• EWC registered
