Job summary

Connex Education are working with a SEND School in Liverpool seeking local Support Workers to join as SEND Teaching Assistants. You will support pupils aged 11-19 with complex SEND needs, and will be able to demonstrate a child-centered approach in challenging environments.

The role runs 8.45am-3.45pm, is full-time, and offers CPD opportunities through Connex Education. Proof of right to work in the UK is required, and a DBS update service renewal is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting children or adults as a Support Worker
• A genuine passion of wanting to help children develop and succeed
• A good understanding of Special Needs and how to provide a child-centered approach
• Be willing to provide personal care.
• Be able to work as a team with other class TAs to help create a calm and engaging learning environment
• The ability to build positive and professional relationships with pupils
• Confident in dealing with challenging behaviour, identifying triggers and using de-escalation techniques
• Be willing to adapt and move around classrooms if needed
• Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
