Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in Huyton, Knowsley, Liverpool area. The role focuses on 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils access an inclusive curriculum and build independence.

You will assist with communication, social development and emotional regulation, working alongside teachers and SENCOs to deliver targeted interventions and maintain positive behaviour. A patient, resilient approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND
• Experience supporting Autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties or speech and language needs
• A patient, resilient and nurturing approach
• Confident supporting pupils with different levels of need
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Able to remain calm and consistent when managing challenging behaviour
• A relevant education, childcare, SEND or TA qualification is desirable

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Huyton. The school is seeking someone who can provide consistent, individualised support to pupils with additional needs and help them make meaningful progress both inside and outside the classroom.

This SEND Teaching Assistant role would suit an experienced TA, LSA or support worker with a genuine passion for working with children with SEND. You will work alongside experienced teaching staff to support pupils with their learning, communication, behaviour and emotional development.
