Job summary

Wolfreton School and Sixth Form College is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our Learning Support (SEND) team. You will provide targeted assistance to students with special educational needs, liaising with teachers and the SENDCo to support progress and participation in the curriculum.

The role includes delivering literacy, numeracy and science support to individuals and small groups, working within a secondary school setting, and contributing to a positive learning environment with

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children or young people with SEN, preferably in a secondary school.
• Educated to GCSE/Level 2 qualifications in Maths, English and Science.
• Able to demonstrate evidence and knowledge of strategies to enable SEN students to fulfil potential.

Responsibilities

• Provide literacy, numeracy and science support to individuals and groups.
• Liaise with classroom teachers, SENDCo and support staff to plan interventions.
• Assist with delivery of the National Curriculum and school life.
