Job summary

iMap Education is seeking an enthusiastic learning support assistant to help plan and deliver learning activities for pupils with diverse needs in a UK school. You will assist with planning, supervision, and ensuring access for pupils with SEND in alignment with school policies.

The role emphasises collaboration with teaching staff, safeguarding, and promoting positive behaviour. A Level 2/3 in Teaching & Learning or equivalent is expected, with training available.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 in Teaching and learning or equivalent or a willingness to undertake the training.
• Ability to support pupils to make progress against the EHCP targets.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with a range of people both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Support planning learning activities in line with school policies.
• Supervise pupils during learning activities and ensure access for pupils with SEND.
• Assist with behaviour management using Positive Behaviour Support strategies.
• Promote social and emotional development and pupil independence.
• Support use of ICT in the classroom and help pupils access learning activities.
