Job summary

Educate GM seeks a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEN in a welcoming Moston school. The role covers 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils access learning and develop confidence, independence and social skills.

The ideal candidate has experience with SEN, including autism, ADHD and SEMH, and may hold a Teaching Assistant Level 3. A DBS check and UK work rights are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEND children/young people.
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
• Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
• 2x Professional reference checks.
• CV must cover last 10 years of employment history.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to KS1 pupils with SEN.
• Help pupils access the curriculum and participate in lessons.
• Support pupils' confidence, independence and social skills.
• Assist children with a range of additional needs and behaviour.
• Implement individual learning and support strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers and the SENCO to meet pupils' needs.
• Support emotional and social development in the classroom.
• Create a positive, inclusive, nurturing learning environment.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff.
