Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH at a specialist school in Derby. The role is full-time and long-term with immediate start and SEPTEMBER intake.

You’ll work with pupils with a range of needs, focusing on SEMH, autism, and sensory processing, in a calm, supportive environment. Daily duties include assisting with learning, personal care, and using specialist equipment with full training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEND, care, or relevant lived or personal experience.
• A calm, caring, and adaptable approach.
• Resilience and a willingness to get stuck in and learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with complex learning, physical, and medical needs.
• Assisting with personal care, mobility, and feeding routines.
• Using specialist equipment and communication tools, with full training provided.
• Creating a calm, safe, and sensory-rich environment where pupils can thrive.
