Job summary

Reeson Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs in a SEND provision in Wythenshawe. This full‑time, long‑term role starts in September 2026 and offers regular hours from 8:30 to 16:00 with a 30-minute dinner break.

You will work one-to-one and in small groups with pupils with SEND, including ASD and communication needs, collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies and promote independence and

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with SEND pupils.
• A patient, caring, and proactive approach to working with children.
• Strong communication skills to build relationships with pupils and staff.
• Commitment to making learning accessible and enjoyable for all students.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEND needs.
• Work with class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies.
• Support pupils in staying engaged with classroom activities and promote independence.
• Adapt teaching resources to ensure all children can access the curriculum.
• Occasionally provide additional support in Reception when required.
