Job summary

Empowering Learning in Oldbury is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant for the full 2026/27 academic year, starting September 2026. The role involves supporting pupils with a range of SEND, working with class teachers to help students access learning and reach their goals.

You will provide classroom and one-to-one support, adapt approaches for ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and other needs, and contribute to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred).
• Experience supporting children with SEND in a UK school.
• Experience with autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH or speech and language needs is desirable.
• Patient, caring and adaptable approach; excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and one-to-one support to pupils with SEND.
• Support learning access, independence, and individual goals.
• Collaborate with class teachers and wider support team.
