Job summary

Howard Park Community School, part of Kirklees Council, is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEND in EYFS/KS1. The role involves 1-1 support and small-group help to foster learning and development within a warm, nurturing environment.

Successful candidates will relate well to children with SEND, show enthusiasm and teamwork, and take direction from teaching staff and the SENDCo. The position is temporary, with DBS checks required.

Qualifications

• Relate well to children, especially those with SEND.
• Understanding of early child development and how children with SEND learn.
• Ideally able to work as part of a team.
• Enthusiastic, caring and self-motivated with a positive approach.
• Able to use initiative.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEND in EYFS and KS1, including 1-1 work and small groups.
