Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Kirkby (L32), starting October 2026. This full-time, ongoing role offers £14.25-£15.50 per hour (dependent on experience).

You will provide 1:1 support and targeted small-group interventions to help pupils overcome barriers to learning, and you will collaborate with class teachers and SEN staff to adapt activities and monitor progress.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school setting.
• Ability to work with ASC, ADHD, SLCN, SEMH needs.
• Proven track record delivering both 1:1 and small-group support.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised support for pupils with additional needs.
• Collaborate with class teachers and SEN staff to adapt activities and resources.
• Support delivery of EHCP outcomes and personalised plans.
• Track pupil progress and share observations with staff.
