Job summary

Howard Park Community School in Cleckheaton is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our Provision Base team. You will support a group of children to develop social, emotional and learning needs, working with small groups and 1-1 with some pupils under the direction of the class teacher.

The role requires enthusiasm, caring and a proactive approach, with a commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice. Temporary contract with potential extension, DBS check required.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working with children with SEND preferred.
  • Ability to work as part of a team to support pupils.
  • Understanding of early child development and how SEND learners progress.
  • Enthusiastic, caring and self-motivated approach.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to use initiative.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support a group of children to develop their social, emotional and learning needs.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who will work in our well-regarded Provision Base to support a group of children to develop their social, emotional and learning needs. The role will involve working alongside other members of staff, under the direction of the class teacher, to work with small groups and 1-1 with some pupils at different times of the day.
