Long Term Futures is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs at a Birmingham school. The role involves assisting teachers, managing behaviour, and promoting resilience and social development.

The position is full-time, long-term temp-to-perm with a daily rate of £110–£115. Start date ASAP and a focus on safeguarding and DBS checks are noted in the approach to recruitment.

Formación

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school setting.
• Ability to de-escalate and manage classroom behaviour positively.
• Committed to consistency and building trusting relationships with pupils.

Responsabilidades

• Provide support to children in or out of the classroom.
• Assist the teacher in delivering well-structured lessons.
• Set expectations for each child and reinforce positive behaviours.
• Monitor and feedback progress and behaviour to teachers and parents.
• Support students temporarily to regulate and reintegrate into class.
