Job summary

Long Term Futures Ltd is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant in Birmingham to support children with SEND inside and outside the classroom. The role offers long-term stability and a view to permanent placement, with weekly pay and a structured CPD program.

You will assist the class teacher, set individual expectations, reinforce positive behaviour, and help pupils build resilience and social skills. Start date is ASAP, with daily pay of £110–£115 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Passionate and experienced with supporting pupils with SEND
• Calm, confident and able to remain regulated during behavioural incidents
• Able to build trust while maintaining clear and consistent boundaries
• Reliable and committed to a long-term placement

Responsibilities

• Providing support to children in or out of the classroom
• Supporting the teacher in delivering amazing, well-structured lessons
• Setting expectations specific to each child
• Delivering positive reinforcement where necessary
• Monitoring and feeding back progress and/or behaviour to teachers and parents
• Taking students out of the classroom to regulate and then reintegrate
• Helping pupils develop resilience, self-regulation and positive social interaction
