Job summary

Philosophy Education is recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist secondary school in Peckham Rye. You will support students aged 11–19 with severe and complex learning needs across learning activities, therapy sessions and wellbeing activities.

The role is daily supply, offering flexible days and the chance to develop professional skills within a supportive MDT including physiotherapists and speech and language therapists. Previous SEND experience is preferred.

We are working with a specialist SEND school in Peckham Rye are looking for to support secondary age pupils with varying severe and complex learning needs.

The Role

In this role you will be working with students from 11- 19 years old who have a range of learning disabilities including severe and complex, sensory and physical, autism and challenging behaviour. You will be supporting students in a range of learning activities, therapy sessions, wellbeing and personal development sessions throughout the modern, purpose built school site. The school are looking for teaching assistants who have previous experience working with children with SEND in any capacity or a true passion to follow a career in this area.
