Job summary

Knavesmire Primary School is seeking a positive Teaching Assistant to support our pupils, including 1:1 and small group work within the SEND provision. The role runs 32.5 hours per week (8:40am–3:40pm, Monday to Friday) and requires GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C/4 or above.

You will work with class teachers and our SENCo to ensure pupils access an ambitious curriculum and make progress towards personal targets, in a calm, caring environment with strong school ethos.

Qualifications

• GCSE maths and English at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
• Experience working with children or young people, preferably including SEND.
• Ability to work with class teachers and the school SENCo to support curriculum access.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for pupils and small group intervention.
• Support pupils to access an ambitious curriculum and make progress.
• Work within our School House SEN provision alongside teachers.
