Job summary

Knavesmire Primary School is seeking a positive Teaching Assistant to join our team, supporting our most vulnerable pupils through small group intervention, 1:1 support, and work within our School House SEN provision.

You will need GCSE qualifications in maths and English (grade C/4 or above) or equivalent, with experience of working with children or young people, including SEND. The role requires calm, caring and consistent engagement with pupils and collaboration with teachers and the SENCo.

Qualifications

  • GCSE maths and English at grade C/4 or above or equivalent.
  • Experience of working with children or young people, and ideally SEND.
  • Able to work with class teachers and the school SENCo to support curriculum access and progress.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver small group intervention work.
  • Provide 1:1 support for pupils as needed.
  • Work within the School House SEN provision.
