Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming SEND school in Newbury. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm, supporting pupils with learning, independence and wellbeing.

• Previous experience supporting children or adults with SEND.
• Experience with ASD or complex needs preferred.
• Confidence managing challenging behaviour with patience and empathy.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with learning, independence and emotional wellbeing in classroom.
• Assist with behaviour management using positive strategies.
• Support pupils with additional needs including ASD and complex needs.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Work with a dedicated school team in a supportive environment.
