Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH and ADHD at a mainstream school in Walton from September. This long-term, full-time role offers consistent daily support from experienced staff.

You will work closely with teachers, the SENCO and pastoral teams to implement effective strategies for engagement, emotional regulation and positive behaviour, with DBS in place or willing to obtain one.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with SEMH and/or ADHD.
  • Previous work in a school, SEND, youth work, mentoring or care setting.
  • Calm, patient and resilient with a focus on consistency.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour using positive strategies.
  • Available full-time from September for a long-term commitment.
  • Has an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.

Are you experienced in supporting children with SEMH and ADHD needs?

We're working with a welcoming mainstream school in Walington looking for a dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to provide full-time, long-term support from September.

This role would suit someone who understands the importance of building positive relationships, creating consistency, and helping pupils overcome barriers to learning. The successful candidate will have previous experience supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and/or ADHD and be confident using strategies to promote engagement, emotional regulation and positive behaviour.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Providing targeted support to pupils with SEMH and ADHD needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
