Job summary

Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant for a busy school in Birkenhead. The role is full-time and starts ASAP, offering stable, long-term opportunities for the right candidate.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups to support learning, wellbeing and positive behaviour, closely with teaching staff and the wider support team. Competitive pay and access to ongoing CPD are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Confident supporting pupils with additional learning and behavioural needs.
• Patient, caring and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Able to adapt support to meet individual needs.
• Reliable, proactive and committed to inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
• Support learning, emotional wellbeing, communication and positive behaviour.
