Job summary

Five Education are seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant to support students with SEND in Didcot, Oxfordshire. The role involves working with learners who have Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and physical disabilities, providing dedicated 1:1 and small-group support.

The successful candidate will be patient, resilient, and work well in a team, helping students thrive academically and personally in an inclusive setting.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and physical disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support aligned with EHCP targets.
• Adapt learning materials to diverse learning styles and needs.
• Help students develop communication, emotional regulation, confidence, and independence.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and SENDCo to implement effective strategies for progress.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
• Supervise students during breaks and lunchtimes with a focus on wellbeing.
