Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a North Birmingham SEND school. The role involves one-to-one and small group support for pupils aged 4 to 16 with autism and learning difficulties, with an immediate start and a PAYE payment model.

You will work alongside teaching staff to deliver engaging activities, promote positive behaviour and help each child achieve their goals. The role is flexible and suitable for those studying or preferring a non-full-time arrangement.

Teaching Assistant

Location: North Birmingham
Start Date: Immediate
Salary: £90 - £100 per day

The school provides a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment for pupils aged 4 to 16 with autism and learning difficulties, encouraging independence, confidence and positive outcomes through personalised learning and therapeutic support.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant with an immediate start. The successful Teaching Assistant will support pupils across the school through one-to-one and small group interventions, working alongside teaching staff to deliver engaging learning activities, promote positive behaviour and help every child achieve their individual goals.
The role is flexible and ideal for those currently studying or who don't want to commit to a full time, long term role.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification is desirable
• Experience working with children with autism and learning difficulties within a SEND or education setting
• Knowledge of strategies to support pupils with additional needs and promote positive behaviour
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A patient, adaptable and caring approach to supporting young people
• A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential
