TeacherActive Ltd is recruiting an experienced Teaching Assistant for a specialist SEND setting in Stoke-on-Trent. The post supports pupils across mixed ages with diverse needs in a structured learning environment.
An immediate start is available on a long-term basis, with adaptation of support to each pupil's needs. The successful candidate will have SEND experience, strong communication skills, and a patient, resilient approach.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
- Experience supporting pupils with a range of additional needs across different ages/Key Stages.
- Ability to adapt support to meet individual pupil needs and maintain effective communication.

The setting provides a supportive and structured learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and engagement with learning.
The setting is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful Teaching Assistant will support pupils across different age groups, providing individual and classroom support while adapting their approach to meet a range of mixed SEND needs.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND
- Experience supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
- Confidence working across different ages and Key Stages
- The ability to adapt support to meet individual pupil needs
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
