Simply Education Ltd is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex. The role starts immediately after October Half Term and is full-time, five days per week, supporting pupils with additional needs and challenging behaviour.
You will work with a supportive team, following SEN plans, delivering targeted interventions and helping pupils access learning while promoting independence and positive social and emotional progress.

Simply Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Clacton-on-Sea to recruit an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately after the October half term.
This is a full-time position working five days per week, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including children who may display challenging behaviour. Previous experience supporting children with behavioural needs is essential, whether gained within a mainstream school, SEND setting, alternative provision or another relevant education and training environment.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers, the SENCO and other support staff to ensure pupils with additional needs are able to access learning, develop their independence and make positive academic, social and emotional progress.
Your responsibilities will include:
The successful candidate will have previous experience working with children who have additional needs and challenging behaviour. You should be patient, resilient, compassionate and confident managing difficult situations calmly and consistently.
Previous experience within education and training, SEND, SEMH or alternative provision would be highly beneficial. A strong understanding of behaviour management, emotional regulation and the different ways SEND can affect a child's learning and behaviour is also desirable.
