Job summary

Simply Education Ltd is partnering with a welcoming primary school in Clacton-on-Sea to recruit an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant. The role is full-time, five days per week, starting immediately after October Half Term.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with additional needs.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and consistently.
• Support pupils to access learning and develop independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND.
• Support children who display challenging or dysregulated behaviour.
• Use positive behaviour-management and de-escalation strategies.
• Support pupils with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH and communication difficulties.
• Help pupils regulate emotions and develop coping strategies.
• Deliver targeted interventions under teacher/SENCO guidance.
