Job summary

SUPPLYGO LTD in Tamworth is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEND and SEMH, providing 1:1 and small group support and assisting the class teacher with lesson activities.

You will help implement individual learning plans, support behaviour strategies, and build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents. The role is offered as a mix of full-time or part-time hours, Monday to Friday, with options for 2, 3 or 4 days per week in the part-time layout.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEND/SEMH is essential.
• Experience within a school, care, or support setting preferred.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service preferred (or willingness to obtain one).

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Tamworth. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND/ SEMH) and making a positive impact within the classroom.

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
• Support students with additional needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties
• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom activities
• Help implement individual learning plans and behaviour strategies
• Encourage pupil engagement, independence, and confidence
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers
• Support students with emotional and behavioural needs where required Previous experience working with children with SEN/SEMH is essential
• Experience within a school, care, or support setting preferred
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt support to individual pupil needs
• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification desirable but not essential
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service preferred (or willingness to obtain one) Monday to Friday (No weekends)

08:30am - 15:30pm Please note the school is hiring for a mix of full-time, and part-time positions. Part-Time would consist of working 2, 3 or 4 full days per week. Full-Time is 5 days per week, Monday to Friday.
