SEN Teaching Assistant

Full-Time | Ongoing Position | Start Date: 21st September

Are you passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team on a full-time, ongoing basis.

This rewarding role involves supporting students from Year 7 through to Sixth Form, helping them access learning and achieve their full potential within a supportive school environment.

The Role
  • Providing classroom-based support to students with SEND.
  • Supporting pupils with a range of needs, including:
    • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
    • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
    • Dyslexia
    • Social, Emotional and Behavioural Needs (SEMH)
  • Delivering both general classroom support and targeted 1:1 support where required.
  • Building positive relationships with students to encourage engagement, confidence, and academic progress.
  • Working closely with teachers and the wider SEND team to provide effective support.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND is mandatory.
  • Candidates from education, care, support work, youth work, or similar backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
  • A patient, resilient, and compassionate approach.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed.
Essential Requirement
  • An Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service is mandatory for this role.

Working Hours :Monday to Friday 8:15am - 3:10pm
