Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with PMLD and complex needs in Sutton In Ashfield. This full‑time, long‑term role offers immediate or September starts and is paid weekly via PAYE.

You will assist with personal care, mobility and feeding, engage with specialist equipment and communication tools, and help create a calm, safe learning environment. Training is provided, with ongoing career development opportunities.

SEND Teaching Assistant – PMLD & Complex Needs

Location: Sutton In Ashfield

Salary: £92.63–£100 per day, paid weekly via PAYE

Contract: Full‑time, long‑term

Start date: Immediate and SEPTEMBER STARTS

We’re working with a specialist school supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex medical and physical needs. They’re looking for a compassionate, resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team full‑time.

This is a hands‑on role where your support genuinely changes lives. No two days are the same, but every day comes with purpose, progress, and plenty of heart.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
