Job summary

Zest Education is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a full-time position in a Stoke-on-Trent area SEND school. The role is advertised as a temporary supply position with a focus on supporting pupils with a range of needs.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, assist with delivering adapted learning activities, help pupils regulate emotions, and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment while supporting EHCP targets.

Qualifications

  • Recent school-based experience within the last 5 years.
  • DBS enhanced disclosure or willingness to process one.
  • Ability to support pupils with diverse SEND needs (ASC/ADHD/SEMH).

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to pupils' needs.
  • Assist teachers with delivering adapted and engaging learning activities.
  • Help pupils regulate emotions, build confidence and independence.

Your Key Responsibilities

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school‑based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care‑based experience within the last 5 years.
