Experienced Teaching Assistant – Full Time Start Date: September 2025 Contract: Full Time, Term-Time Only Pay: £85–£95 per day Are you an experienced and committed Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding new opportunity? We are seeking a dedicated professional to join a specialist educational setting this September, supporting pupils with a range of complex needs. This full-time role offers the chance to work within a highly supportive and well-resourced environment, providing both educational and therapeutic support to pupils aged 4 to 19 with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Pupils have a primary diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will play an essential role in helping pupils to access learning, develop their independence, and build confidence in a safe and nurturing setting. Working closely with teachers, therapists and wider school staff, you will deliver targeted support tailored to each pupil’s needs, and play a key part in promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing. This school benefits from a range of specialist facilities designed to enrich learning and support holistic development. These include a science laboratory, food technology room, construction workshop, computer suites, a theatre room, sensory spaces, therapy rooms, as well as indoor and outdoor play areas, a trim trail and a multi-use games area. We are looking for someone who: Has proven experience supporting children or young people with ASC and/or SEMH Is knowledgeable in therapeutic and inclusive approaches to education Builds strong, respectful relationships with pupils, staff and families Is patient, reflective and adaptable in challenging situations Has excellent communication skills and thrives in a team-focused environment Holds relevant qualifications or training (e.g., CACHE Level 3, Team Teach, PECS, Makaton) – desirable but not essential In return, you’ll be part of a forward-thinking team committed to professional growth and making a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.
