Location: North Tyneside
Salary: £89–£108 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term
Start Date: September 2025
Ready to make a difference where it really matters?
We’re working with a specialist primary setting in North Tyneside that supports pupils aged 3–11 with a wide range of complex needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and profound medical conditions. It’s a school that leads with compassion and creativity—and they know just how vital their support staff are.
This is a role for someone calm, kind, and unflappable. Someone who brings steady energy to busy days and helps young learners feel safe, seen, and supported.
What you'll be doing:
Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support across EYFS and primary classes
Using communication tools like PECS and Makaton (we’ll train you if you’re new!)
Supporting sensory regulation, mobility, and personal care if needed
Building consistent, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
What we're looking for:
Experience supporting children with SEND, especially those with complex needs
A patient, positive outlook and a solid sense of humour
Someone who’s great on a team and happy to muck in where needed
Already Thrive-trained? Brilliant. If not, we’ll cover the cost—it's one of the best ways to show schools your trauma-informed practice skills.
What you’ll get from us:
Weekly pay through PAYE
FREE CPD including Thrive and SEND Essentials
Friendly, expert support from your local consultant
Long-term opportunities in brilliant schools that genuinely value their support teams
This role isn’t for the faint-hearted—but if you’ve got the heart, care, and consistency, it gives back in all the right ways.
