School: South Stanley Junior School

Job Role: Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprentice with SEND

Contract Type: 18 Month Apprenticeship Contract

Salary: £7.55 per hour, rising after 12 months

Working Pattern: Monday – Friday 37 hrs per week. Term Time only.

Fixed Term Apprenticeship – 18 months





We are looking for a KS2 apprentice teaching assistant who has a passion for working with children with additional needs. You will be well supported to develop into highly skilled teaching assistant and will receive a significant training package including curriculum, assessment, SEND support etc.

The successful applicant will have a keen interest in predominantly working with children with SEND, mainly on a small group basis in a mainstream classroom or specialist setting.





You will need to be wholly committed to becoming an integral member of our hard-working and dedicated team and will:



• Have high expectations and a strong commitment to support with raising standards for children with SEND;



• Learn how to make learning exciting, memorable and enjoyable;



• Have experience with, and a keen interest in supporting SEND pupils, including pupils with complex needs;



• Support pupils, who display complex and challenging behaviour;





The candidate must be willing to work hard to develop their understanding of high-quality teaching & learning strategies as well as knowledge of the supporting children with SEND in education.
