Job Role: Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprentice with SEND
Contract Type: Fixed Term Apprenticeship – 18
Salary:£7.55 per hour, rising after 12 months
Working Pattern: 18 Month Apprenticeship Contract Monday – Friday 37 hrs per week. Term Time only.
We are looking for an apprentice teaching assistant who has a passion for working with children with additional needs. You will be well supported to develop into highly skilled teaching assistant and will receive a significant training package including curriculum, assessment, SEND support etc. We strongly recommend interested candidates to contact the school for a discussion around this exciting position and how the future of this role could develop.

If possible, the successful candidate would also join our team of staff which at times is able to provide free pupil transport using school vehicles as either a driver or as an escort.
The successful applicant will have a keen interest in predominantly working with children with SEND, mainly on a small group basis in a specialist setting with the opportunity to support them to re-integrate into mainstream.
You will need to be wholly committed to becoming an integral member of our hard- working and dedicated team and will:• Have high expectations and a strong commitment to support with raising standards for children with SEND;
• Learn how to make learning exciting, memorable and enjoyable;
• Have experience with, and a keen interest in supporting SEND pupils, including pupils with complex
needs;
• Support pupils, who display complex and challenging behaviour;
You will have the opportunity to learn how to work within mainstream provision in school as you support children with SEND to integrate into a mainstream classroom. The candidate must be willing to work hard to develop their understanding of high-quality teaching & learning strategies as well as knowledge of supporting children with SEND in education.
