Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 8 to 19 with a range of SEND in a generic special school/college in Malton.

You will join a supportive team, with a start date of September 2026 and a pay rate of £14.24–£18.00 per hour depending on experience. Excellent PAYE rates and CPD opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience with challenging behaviours and SEND pupils is required.
• A passion for progress of SEND school pupils is essential.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils aged 8 to 19 with a wide range of SEND in a generic special school/college.
• Collaborate with staff to plan and deliver inclusive learning activities.
• Assist with behaviour support and daily routines to promote safety and learning.

You will be working in a generic special school / college for children and young people aged 8 to 19 years with a wide range of special educational needs.

Requirements:

• The desired SEND Teaching Assistant will have;
• Experience of working with challenging behaviours
• Experience of working with pupils with SEND
• A passion for the progress of SEND school pupils
• An ability to work as part of a team
• Drive or be willing to sue public transport
