Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant for a flexible day-to-day supply role in a SEND setting in Loughborough. The post is 9am - 3:45pm with on-site work and offers daily rate pay.

You will support pupils with various SEND needs, assist with learning and engagement, and may provide personal care where needed. This role requires adaptability, patience, and teamwork to fit around availability.

Qualifications

• Previous relevant experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Experience working with a variety of additional needs.
• Confidence supporting pupils with their learning and development.
• Willingness to provide personal care where required.
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach.
• The ability to work flexibly as part of a supportive team.

Responsibilities

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND setting in Loughborough that supports pupils with a variety of special educational needs and disabilities. The setting is looking for a caring, adaptable and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant who can provide effective support to pupils throughout the school day.

The SEND Teaching Assistant role is flexible day-to-day supply, allowing you to work around your availability, with typical hours of 9am - 3:45pm. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support pupils with a range of SEND needs, assist with learning and engagement, and may be required to provide personal care where appropriate.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Previous relevant experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Experience working with a variety of additional needs
• Confidence supporting pupils with their learning and development
• A willingness to provide personal care where required
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
• The ability to work flexibly as part of a supportive team
