TeacherActive is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant for an immediate start at a mainstream school in the West Midlands. The role covers Early Years to KS2 and involves supporting two children with additional needs.

You will work alongside the class teacher and SEND team, adapting activities to enable learning, social and emotional development. The position is temporary, term-time, with daily rate paid via PAYE.

SEND Teaching Assistant – Early Years to KS2

TeacherActive is working with a welcoming mainstream school in Lichfield that is looking to appoint a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant for an immediate start.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will provide dedicated support to two children, working across Early Years to KS2. You will help support their academic, social and emotional development, adapting activities to meet individual needs and helping both children access learning confidently.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will:

• Have experience supporting children with SEND or additional needs
• Be confident working with pupils from Early Years through to KS2
• Provide individualised support to two children
• Support learning, communication, independence and emotional development
• Work closely with the class teacher and wider SEND team
• Be patient, nurturing and able to build positive relationships
• Be committed to a long-term, term-time position
