Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to work on a day-to-day supply basis with long-term opportunities. The role supports pupils with ASD and ADHD, delivering tailored activities and assisting teaching staff to promote positive behaviour.

It is an on-site, full-time contract with competitive daily pay of £95-£105. Closing date is 26 Nov 2026 and location is Chesterfield (S41).

Qualifications

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
• Experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly ASD and ADHD.
• Experience supporting pupils with additional learning and behavioural needs.
• A good understanding of positive behaviour management strategies.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

The provision focuses on creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where pupils can develop their confidence, independence and social skills.

We are looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to work on a day-to-day supply basis, with long-term opportunities available. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support pupils with ASD and ADHD, working alongside teaching staff to deliver tailored learning activities, encourage positive behaviour and provide both one-to-one and small group support.

Qualifications and experience expected

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
• Experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly ASD and ADHD
• Experience supporting pupils with additional learning and behavioural needs
• A good understanding of positive behaviour management strategies
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
