Job summary

Clockwork Education have been approached by a welcoming school in County Durham to recruit a part-time SEND teaching assistant to support Key Stage 2 learners.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 12:30, starting ASAP and ongoing. You will work one-to-one with SEND pupils and may lead small group sessions, using initiative to support lessons.

Ideal candidates will have Level 2 qualification and be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check, with references from education preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working with a child one-to-one.
• Hold a Level 2 Qualification.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure required.

Responsibilities

• Support a range of SEND children one-to-one and in small groups.
• Provide extra support during lessons and lead group sessions when needed.
• Work independently with a child and small groups using initiative.

Clockwork Education have been approached by a lovely, welcoming school in County Durham to assist them in finding a part time SEND teaching assistant to support them across Key Stage 2.

The role is working Monday to Friday (8.30 - 12.30) to start ASAP and will be on an ongoing basis.

The role is to work one to one with SEND children and some group work will be required - the school require someone who is proactive and is happy to lead group sessions.

• Supporting a range of children child with SEND needs

• To use own initiative and take the lead

Requirements

• Confident and experienced in working with a child on a one to one basis
• Level 2 Qualification
• Provide 2 references, preferably from an educational background
• To hold or put in process an enhanced DBS disclosure
