Job summary

Clockwork Education Ltd is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant in Hartlepool to provide 1-1 support for a child with SEND, including ASD and ADHD. A trial period will apply before securing the role.

The ideal candidate holds a Level 2 TA qualification, can provide two educational references, and has an enhanced DBS disclosure. A dedicated consultant is available to support you throughout the assignment.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification as a teaching assistant.
• Ability to provide 2 x educational based references.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure.
• Keen interest in working with and supporting children with SEND.

Responsibilities

• Supporting a child with a wide range of SENDs such as ASD, ADHD and challenging behaviour.
• Supporting the child through all lessons and encouraging them to stay on task.
• Ability to use own initiative and adapt lesson plans as needed.

SEND Teaching Assistant Responsibilities

• Supporting a child with a wide range of SEND's such as ASD, ADHD and very challenging behaviour
• Supporting the child through all lessons and encouraging them to stay on task
• Ability to use own initiative and to change lesson plan when needed

SEND Teaching Assistant Requirements

• Level 2 qualification as a teaching assistant
• The ability to provide 2 x educational based references (preferably)
• Enhanced DBS disclosure
• A keen interest in working with and supporting children with SEND
