Job summary

Academics is recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants to support partner schools in Cannock on long-term and day-to-day supply roles. You will work with teachers, SENCOs and parents to support pupils' learning and emotional wellbeing.

The role requires experience in primary settings with SEN, a Level 2 TA certificate or equivalent, and a willingness to start ASAP. DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting a primary class and SEN (essential).
• Level 2 Teaching Assistant certificate or recent education experience.

SEND Teaching Assistant - Long Term Roles - Cannock - Start Date: ASAP

We are currently recruiting for SEND Teaching Assistants to support some of our partner schools within the Cannock area. You will be working on a supply basis supporting in long-term roles within welcoming, friendly school environments.

Your duties as a SEND Teaching Assistant will involve working closely alongside staff members such as: class teachers, SENCOs, parents and external professionals to support pupils learning and most importantly emotional wellbeing too. The ideal candidate will be caring, dedicated and enthusiastic individuals who are willing to jump straight into supporting pupils with additional needs whether that be on a 1:1 / small group basis.

The Role Includes:

• Working for a reputable education agency - Academics.
• Working collaboratively alongside staff, parents and children - ensuring that communication is key at all points.
• Short-term/long-term and day-to-day cover opportunities working within a variety of mainstream primary schools in and around the Cannock area.
• Have the ability to create and foster effective relationships with students, parents and staff.
• The ability to support and relate with students, with a wide range of bis personalities.
• Confidence in supporting pupils with SEN needs - this either be on a 1:1 / small group basis.

We are looking for someone who:

• Experience supporting a primary class, supporting with SEN (essential).
• Obtains a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Certificate (minimum) OR has valuable recent experience working within education settings.
• Is a committed Teaching Assistant who feels confident in supporting children with additional needs; tailoring learning to ensure each child flourishes.
• The ability to support SEN pupils; this will be on a 1:1 basis.
• Holds an Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one).
• Available to start ASAP.
• Able to commute to Cannock and surrounding areas on a daily basis.
• Fully registered to work with Academics.

Pay: £93 - £110 per day, depending on experience and assignment. Holiday pay is included in the daily rate.
