Job summary

Academics is seeking a dedicated KS1/KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant to support multiple schools across Stafford, Rugeley and Cannock on a part-time supply basis. You will help deliver lessons, support pupils with diverse needs, and run small-group interventions.

The role may involve 1:1 support for children with SEN, creating useful resources and working closely with the class teacher to develop child-specific plans. DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

  • Must have experience supporting a primary class.
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant certificate (desirable).
  • Enhanced DBS.
  • Available to start ASAP.
  • Able to commute to Stafford/Rugeley/Cannock on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the class teacher in the delivery of lessons and support pupils.
  • Provide individual and small-group interventions for children.
  • Create resources and work with SEN pupils to develop child-specific plans.
  • Support SEN pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis within the classroom.

SEN Teaching Assistant - KS1 / KS2 - Stafford/Rugeley/Cannock - Part Time- Start Date: ASAP

Calling all SEN Teaching Assistant's

We are seeking a dedicated, caring and passionate KS1 and KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a number of schools across the Stafford/Rugeley/Cannock area. This role is offered on a temporary, part-time supply basis which provides you with the opportunity to work in a range of schools supporting in the role of SEN Teaching Assistant.

The successful candidate will be available to work part-time, and will play an important role in supporting young learners during the early stages of their education. You will be working through a well-established and reputable supply agency. Your duties as a Teaching Assistant will vary on a day-to-day basis; you will be expected to assist the class teacher in the delivery of lessons, support pupils with different learning needs and also providing small-group interventions when necessary. You may be supporting children with SEN needs; this can sometimes be on a 1:1 basis, creating useful resources and working closely alongside the class teacher in order to create a child specific plan.

The Role Includes:
  • Working for a reputable education agency - Academics.
  • Working collaboratively alongside staff and parents, with the child's best interests at heart.
  • The ability to provide individual and small group support where required to provide interventions for children.
  • Confidence in supporting pupils with SEN needs - this may be on a more 1:1 basis where required.
We are looking for someone who:
  • Must have experience supporting a primary class.
  • Obtains a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate (desired).
  • Is a committed teaching assistant who feels confident in supporting children.
  • The ability to support SEN pupils when needed within the classroom; this may be through 1:1 or small group work.
  • Enhanced DBS.
  • Available to start ASAP.
  • Able to commute to Stafford/Rugeley/Cannock and surrounding areas on a daily basis.
  • Fully registered to work with Academics.

Pay: £93 - £110 per day, depending on experience and assignment. Holiday pay is included in the daily rate.
