Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking Teaching Assistants to support SEN pupils in mainstream primary settings across Sutton. Roles include 1:1 pupil support, helping with SEND needs, and collaboration with teachers and SENCOs to implement EHCP targets.

Candidates should have at least 6 months experience, a Level 2 TA qualification (Level 3 desirable), and an Enhanced DBS Update Service. Roles run Monday to Friday, with pay tailored to experience.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months experience supporting children with additional needs.
• Ideally Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 3 desirable).
• Has previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within SEND or inclusion.
• Confident supporting pupils with additional needs in a mainstream primary setting.
• Patient, empathetic and committed to pupil progress and well-being.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).
• Available Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

The Role:

The Ideal Candidate:

• At least 6 months experience supporting children with additional needs
• Ideally hold minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3 desirable)
• Has previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within SEND or inclusion
• Confident supporting pupils with additional needs in a mainstream primary setting
• Patient, empathetic, and committed to pupil progress and well-being
• Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
• Available Monday to Friday

Pay: 93 per day for candidates with a minimum of 3 months experience supporting children or young people in an educational, care or SEND setting. 100 per day for candidates who hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and have over 12 months previous experience supporting pupils with SEND including ASc, ADHD, SEMH or SLD or experience with personal care.
