Job summary

Step Teachers is seeking SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with special educational needs across Attleborough and surrounding areas. Roles include one-to-one and small group support in diverse schools.

Experience with SEND and a willingness to train are valued. DBS checks (Enhanced) via Update Service or new application are required or possible. PAYE weekly pay and a competitive salary are offered.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND
  • Knowledge of strategies for supporting pupils with additional needs
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
  • Relevant qualifications or willingness to undertake training

SEND Teaching Assistants - Full-time and Part-time roles available

We are seeking enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants to work across a range of schools in Attleborough and the surrounding areas. These flexible opportunities are ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting pupils with special educational needs and want to make a positive impact in diverse educational settings.

Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND
  • Assist teachers in adapting lessons and resources to meet individual needs
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
  • Implement strategies outlined in individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Promote an inclusive and safe learning environment
