Job summary

Derbyshire County Council is seeking an enthusiastic Primary Teaching and Learning Assistant to support pupils with SEND across the school and help create an inclusive, nurturing learning environment.

Role includes overseeing Breakfast Club and contributing to Trauma-Informed, relational practice within a Christian ethos. Start from October 2026 or sooner, with a 7.45am–3.15pm schedule.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND, ASD, emotional/behavioural difficulties, developmental delay, or attachment disorders.
  • Ability to accurately record pupil progress and adapt learning to overcome barriers.
  • Commitment to Trauma-Informed, relational practice for unmet needs.
  • Eagerness to contribute to the Christian ethos and family atmosphere of the school.

We are a small, friendly church School in Derbyshire seeking caring practitioners to join our team from October 2026 or sooner if possible.

Hours: 7.45am - 3.15pm

Role Summary

The Headteacher and governors are looking to appoint an individual with the qualities and experience to support pupils across the school with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This position requires the successful candidate to work with children who have a range of needs, including ASD, emotional and behavioural difficulties, developmental delay, and attachment disorders.

Key Responsibility: In addition to classroom support, this post holder will be responsible for overseeing and running the school's Breakfast Club provision
