Job summary

The Northumberland Church of England Academy is seeking a creative SEND Teacher to join Dragonflies, a nurturing provision for pupils with additional needs including speech and language delay and Autism.

We offer a supportive team, CPD opportunities, and an enhanced DBS framework. The role is fixed-term until 31st August 2026 and salary is on MPS/UPS plus SEN Point 1 (£2,787) per year.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to the current curriculum and build a positive learning environment.
• Liaise with SENDCO, teachers, support staff and external professionals to meet pupils' needs.
• Apply current educational thinking and strategies to raise attainment and foster positive relationships with pupils.
