TeacherActive is seeking a passionate SEND teacher to join a partner school in Kirkby, starting ASAP until the Christmas break. You will work with upper-class SEND pupils, focusing on Autism and ADHD, building positive relationships and delivering nurturing, structured lessons.

Ideal candidates have SEND experience and the ability to adapt to individual needs while maintaining a calm, inclusive environment. A safeguarding-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working within a SEND setting, ideally with pupils with Autism and ADHD.
• Strong understanding of behaviour as a form of communication.
• Confident supporting pupils who may display challenging or dysregulated behaviours.
• Able to build meaningful relationships with pupils on an individual basis.
• Patient, empathetic, resilient and consistent in their approach.
• Understands the importance of identifying triggers and using proactive strategies to prevent escalation.
• Create an engaging, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

We are currently seeking a passionate, dedicated and resilient

SEND Teacher

to join one of our partner schools in Kirkby, starting as soon as possible and continuing until the Christmas break.

The successful candidate will be working within the upper classes of the school's specialist SEND base, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including

Autism, ADHD and social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who understands that building positive relationships is at the heart of successful SEND practice.

The Role
